HISTORY

...or “How the Steel Was Tempered”

In the end of the 20th century (1997) the world steel market reached its maximum volume, and quantity has started to turn into quality. At this time a new metal processing company STALPROKAT was established. It featured brand-new quality approach. In two years it joined the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers, and its specialists has started to visit steel service centers of Europe and USA. Company management encouraged by high quality and professionalism decided to organize company’s own steel service center of European standard. One year later in 1999 a branch office was opened in Bryansk. In 2002 JSC STALPROKAT became an authorized dealer of NLMK (OJSK NOVOLIPETSK STEELWORKS) and the FIRST STEEL SERVICE CENTER was opened. In 2002 in Bryansk Branch steel sheets processing equipment, longitudinal cutting and cutting-to-length were put into operation. 2003 was featured by acquisition of partnership with a huge Finnish company RAUTARUUKKI Corporation. In 2007 modern American slitting-and-shearing line was placed in Moscow warehouse. A year later in 2008 punching equipment was put into service.
